Overview
DX 1-Man is our tracked, door to door next day delivery service, primarily delivering to business addresses. We have the ability to deliver varied freight types; from a document pack, parcels (up to 50 kg in weight) to the capability of effectively handling pallets, more awkward shaped items and lengths up to 6m. Timed delivery service options are available along with availability to undertake delivery to home addresses. ...
Our standard service provides next working day delivery throughout the majority of the UK Mainland, with delivery services also available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and all UK and Scottish Offshore Islands. Delivery of your items straight to your customers’ business addresses enabling full stock availability, no matter where they are in the country.
DX 1-Man takes its name from the fact that it’s one person delivering your items. With a comprehensive range of over 800 vehicles in the fleet, from 3.5tn transit vans and 7.5tn vehicles to 18tn trucks and 40tn unit and trailers, means that no matter what you want to send, it will never be too difficult for us to handle.
DX 1-Man is one of the few delivery companies capable of carrying heavy, large and irregularly shaped items, that fall out of gauge for most parcel carriers, alongside the standard document packs and smaller parcels. Just because your item is heavier and larger than a standard 20kg parcel, doesn’t mean it need take any longer to be delivered. With the efficiency and capability of our freight distribution network, DX 1-Man still delivers your goods overnight.
Whether your consignment is made up from regular sized cartons, multiple items consolidated onto a pallet, single ‘large bulky’ or ‘long slim’ items, or a mixture of all of these, DX 1-Man can carry them for you on our same, single network.
How? It’s simple. To ensure efficient, safe and secure handling of all items despatched, we place smaller items into cages which are transferred by forklift onto our fleet alongside the remaining larger freight. We then transport your items via our central and regional hubs to the destination delivery depot. Our network of over 40 depots covers the length and breadth of the UK, as well as the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and all UK and Scottish Offshore Islands.

How the process works

Collection
DX Freight collects your consignment after you’ve logged it on our DM6 system.

Local depot
At your local DX depot, your consignment is unloaded and scanned, then trunked and forwarded to the appropriate DX Hub.

DX Hub
Once it reaches the DX Hub, the consignment goes through sorting, retrunking and scanning for its onward journey to our Delivery depot.

Delivery depot
Once it reaches the DX Delivery depot local to the delivery address, the consignment is again scanned and loaded onto the delivery vehicle.

The last leg
Our driver then delivers the consignment direct to the delivery address, recording photographic evidence on delivery.

- Our software makes it easy for you to manifest your deliveries and collections onto our system and print barcoded labels. Tracking and tailored despatch management information and reports can also be produced by the click of a button. If you prefer, it’s easy to integrate your own despatch system with our API, and we’ll be happy to help you with this.
